Dynamic Dynamic continues to network with Dublin City Council, Waterways Ireland, Dublin South City Partnership, ESB Networks, Trinity Iveagh Sports Ground, and developers working on projects in the area to ensure there will be appropriate infrastructure in Drimnagh for our growing community.

Political Lobbying for Primary Care Centre
Dynamic Drimnagh liaised with elected TDs and appointed Senators on the long overdue Primary Care Centre.

Members of Dynamic Drimnagh met with Minister Paschal Donohoe and Senator Mary Seery Kearney on appropriate services for Drimnagh.

Meeting with Dublin City Council Parks
An agreement was reached to set up Friends of Brickfield Park, enhance green space, and build new Changing Rooms to facilitate all sports events.

Marble Arch Planning Submission
A detailed submission was sent to DCC Planning, welcoming housing, however, seeking a restriction on the density and proximity to existing two-storey homes in the area.

Crumlin / Drimnagh Library
DCC Capital funding of €200,000 and developer’s levies of €10.9m will be allocated for a 841sqm Library at Ardscoil Éanna, to be completed by 2026.

Brickfield Dressing Rooms
A combination of developer’s levies and Capital Sports Grant of €2.4 between 2024 – 2026 has been allocated for new changing rooms, meeting room, toilets and storage facilities.

A detailed submission was sent to DCC Planning welcoming housing with a proposed medical centre and seeking restrictions on density and proximity to existing homes on Dolphin Road.

DCC Planning refused 8 storey development at the Marble Arch.

ESB Networks Upgrade
Dynamic Drimnagh met with ESB Networks who outlined their plan to upgrade electricity services along Grand Canal and across Drimnagh.

Emarjare Ltd (Marble Arch) appealed DCC’s decision to ABP. A second submission was sent outlining new information.

G4S Granted Planning Permission
G4S were granted planning for 113 residential rather than 120. The site is now For Sale with F.P.P.

Flood Risk Alleviation Consultation
Dynamic Drimnagh attended a public consultation on a Flood Risk Alleviation Scheme for Lansdowne Valley Park. It is proposed to install two damns in the Camac River.

A very successful three-day festival was organised with DCC Community Development Teams.

We have liaised with Waterways Ireland on water activities on the Grand Canal for youth services in 2023 and 2024.

Upgrade of Davitt Rd/Suir Rd Junction
The NTA and DCC Active Travel Office propose to upgrade this junction by closing off Slievenamon Road. Dynamic Drimnagh and residents impacted have run a campaign to object to the road closure and seek alternative solutions.

Trinity Iveagh Sports Grounds
We have engaged with Trinity College Dublin about the community’s use of the facilities. Talks are ongoing about installing a gate between Iveagh Grounds and Brickfield Park for sports events and festivals.

Dynamic Drimnagh gave a presentation to the DRA members on what is planned for Drimnagh.

Drimnagh Historical Map
The Drimnagh Historical Map was launched displaying 15 historical sites across Drimnagh from Neolithic to Modern History.

Planned Healthcare Facilities in Drimnagh
Dynamic Drimnagh and St John Bosco Youth Centre met members of the Board of St James’s Hospital about Davitt Road. A new healthcare facility with community access will be built soon.

Upgrade of Dromard Field/Errigal Park
We have engaged with Dublin City Council about upgrading our green spaces. A plan is underway to upgrade Errigal Park which is welcomed.
